Verletzt: BVB-Star fällt im Pokal gegen St. Pauli aus

Am Dienstag empfängt der FC St. Pauli den BVB im Achtelfinale des DFB Pokals. Ein Spieler von Borussia Dortmund wird jedoch verletzt fehlen.

Wie der Verein mittlerweile offiziell bestätigte hat sich Emre Can am Freitagabend im Spiel gegen den SC Freiburg eine Muskelverletzung im Adduktorenbereich zugezogen und wir dem Verein im Pokalspiel beim FC St. Pauli nicht zur Verfügung stehen.

Der Verein geht sogar davon aus, dass Emre Can dem BVB auch am kommenden Wochenende gegen die TSG Hoffenheim nicht zur Verfügung stehen wird: „Emre Can wird dem BVB in den beiden Partien der kommenden Woche fehlen“ heißt es auf der Homepage des Vereins.

Der 28-Jährige hatte bereits Ende des Jahres über Probleme mit der Muskulatur geklagt und war wochenlang ausgefallen, nun also die erneute Zwangspause.

Matthäus rät Ginter zu Wechsel zum BVB

Wenn es nach Sky-Experte Lothar Matthäus geht, sollte Matthias Ginter von Borussia Mönchengladbach zum BVB wechseln. Auch einem weiteren Spieler der Fohlen rät er zu einem Transfer nach Dortmund.

Der 60-Jährige sagte am Sonntag bei der Sendung Sky90: „Ich glaube, dass für alle eine frühzeitige Trennung das Beste ist und da kommt mir immer Borussia Dortmund in meine Gedanken.“ Nationalspieler Ginter war zuvor von Gladbach-Trainer Adi Hütter im Spiel gegen Bayer Leverkusen auf die Ersatzbank gesetzt worden.

Ginter, der bereits zwischen 2014 und 2017 im Trikot der Schwarz-Gelben spielte, sollte laut Meinung des Sky-Experten bereits im Winter zum BVB wechseln: „Er kennt Borussia Dortmund und Marco Rose und würde sicherlich die Defensive verstärken.“ Auch Denis Zakaria sollte zur Dortmunder Borussia wechseln, so Matthäus weiter.

Borussia Mönchengladbach hatte vor zwei Wochen verkündet, dass sowohl Matthias Ginter als auch Denis Zakaria ihre im Sommer auslaufenden Verträge nicht verlängern werden. Beide Spieler sind seit dem auf der Suche nach einem neuen Verein.
